Today on Cartoon Academy, we're learning how to draw a black bear.

There's a lot of detail, so bear with me.

For this drawing.

We're going to begin with the snout.

We have a line across, out.

Round up and connect.

Now for the nose.

Around And connect Looks sort of like a letter D turned on its side.

We add a little bit of white space with a reflection on the nose.

And then we're going to fill in all around that.

Take your time.

Just color that in solid.

Excellent lower lip and one, two, three little hairs on the chin.

Now for the eyes circle.

Circle.

Period, period.

The ears and top of the head.

We'll start with an ear over here.

Sort of a letter C shape with another letter C inside it.

Work our way across.

Letter C backwards.

Literacy backwards.

Now for the eyebrows one.

Two looks like a banana or crescent moon shape.

Down.

In and out.

Where does a bear get a haircut?

At the bar.

Bear shop.

Down.

In and out.

Slightly.

Now for the back.

We come down and in to add our first leg.

Now round out.

In.

Up and connect.

Very good.

Come around.

Notice the textures.

I go back and forth to get a little bit of fur Black bears hibernate in the winter, sleeping up to seven months.

They don't eat, drink, or even use the bathroom.

and connect.

The other foot goes right here down, round, in and up.

Now for the paws.

One two, one, two.

The arm comes down.

One, two, three and up.

He's a friendly bear.

He's waving hello.

Come around and back.

Black bears are excellent climbers.

Their long cores can act like spikes, enabling them to scale a tree very quickly.

And then the paw 1234.

Lines on the stomach.

And then we're going to shade this in a little bit.

It's a black bear.

So we're going to add just a little bit of that color shading it A little bit of grass.

And then lastly the tail.
