- [Firas Ayyad] LA, it's a food desert in some places.

We want to go get some good produce.

You have to drive really far and pay a lot of money.

- Seeing all these people so full of energy and exchanging with each other.

- The only issue is like the logistical burden because it's hard for the farmers to bring it all the way to us.

- And we do a communal lunch program four days a week for seniors.

- I can see new ideas, new hope, growth, being born at that table at that time, and just taking off in all parts of the United States.

- I'm gonna have so much good stuff to take back and teach with.

I'm really excited.

(gentle bright music) - I think the message here is very simple, just being a giving neighbor, caring, giving of oneself if one can, or receiving of others if one needs.

Sometimes we don't hear enough about these people in America.

There's so many of them out there that are giving so willingly.

Let's increase and let's stay in that spirit.
