Hi, I'm Amelia Boyd, a medical student at upstate, here to tell yo about my favorite miracle drug that can boost your mood, sharpen focus, and reduce stress.
Exercise.
We all know daily movement is good for you.
And personally, running helps me manage the stress of medical school.
But new research shows exercise helps neurons or brain cells form new connections, especially in areas involve in mood, regulation and memory.
In fact, exercise can be as effective as therap or meds for easing depression.
Not a runner.
Yoga strength training, eve brisk walking are all effective.
The key is consistent daily activity.
So do something you love and go at your own pace.
New to this.
Setting a goa and tracking progress can help you build a routine for the long run.
And, yes, pun intended.
I'm Amelia Boyd.
Let's get moving.
