The police investigation on Imam Hassan Sharif's shooting remains ongoing
A Newark imam has died after being shot outside his mosque on Wednesday morning. The imam, Hassan Sharif, was taken to University Hospital in critical condition before being pronounced dead in the afternoon. The perpetrator and motive have yet been determined, city and state officials said.
