I'm so excited to share some of my heartfelt music with you all.

Music was always around me growing up.

My older sister, she was involved in music, and my younger brothers, they also ended up being involved in music.

My mom is very musical, and my dad loves music, and so I think there was just always music around.

I started to write songs in middle school, and songwriting really became the way for me to find my own voice and my own personal expression.

It also became a tool for processing and understanding my world and my emotions and my emotional expression.

I was involved in lots of music in high school, then I went to college out at Berkeley College of Music where I studied music therapy and songwriting.

It kind of combined both of my interests in helping others feel better and songwriting.

"You're Here, You're here" is about connecting with someone you love who you feel like you've known for a lifetime.

It's a song about how precious that kind of love really is.

I often go to the piano if I'm struggling with something, if I'm feeling sad or overwhelmed, and I allow the music to be a place where I can put that emotion so it's not inside of me anymore.

that I can release it and maybe discover something or transform the pain into something beautiful.

A lot of my music ends up being something transformational 'cause I use it as a tool to understand myself better, to dive deeper into who I am and to understand and process the world around me.

"Grows As It Goes" was inspired by my time living in the mountains of New Mexico.

The state phrase is "It grows as it goes."

It means to take it slow, to go easy, to go with the flow and enjoy the beauty of being alive; to be present to what is.

It's very autobiographical.

And the verse and chorus was I want to go see the Isle of Skye.

I wasn't entirely sure where the Isle of Skye even was, and it turns out it's in Scotland.

So after several years of only having only this chorus, an opportunity came up to travel to Isle of Skye in Scotland.

And I went, and it was really magical, and I was able to actually finish the song while I was there.

The song is about awakening to your own heart's dream and having the courage to follow that dream and see where it takes you.
