We're going to play some country bluegrass songs we wrote.
We've assembled a cool band for today.
We've got Nathan Pitcher on guitar from Moorhead, Jake Schaefbauer, our North Dakota buddy on guitar, and Keaton Will on the keys, also from Moorhead, Minnesota.
The Cropdusters is kind of a cool project that we got to put together as a collective over the last few years.
I had been playing with Nate Pitcher as the Pitcher & Duster Duo for awhile.
Then when he started teaching every day and couldn't get out for gigs, I was kind of trapped a little bit.
I had all these gigs lined up and Nate couldn't play them, so I just started calling every single person I knew that could sing and play guitar, and we started working on that.
For awhile we would bring 2 or 3 people to the show and just rotate them every 45 minutes.
As time went on we had enough songs together individually that we didn't need to have as much of a circus per show.
The style or genre for the night kind of is reflected with ever who has joined me for the day.
Each of the fellows has their own style, and for me that's really exciting because we don't have to kind of have to play the same music all the time or even the same way.
We have quite a catalogue of songs, so there's really no time to get bored with anything or having to do the same things over and over again.
