Got a lot of great guys with me here today, Travis Atwood on bass and vocals.
Matt Tinjum the drummer, and Chris Gould on keys.
Music was pretty easy to come by-- just the fact I was around it all the time.
My grandma played in Minneapolis and had a band there.
Mom & dad have a band, and mom's been a choir director, dad was a band director for a very long time.
if I were to say where my main influences come from because of my family it's the jazz crooners and the country music songwriters and then who doesn't love a good AC/DC song here and there.
Music is a lot of things-- if I'm sad, it's an escape, if I'm in a good mood, then a happy song is good.
It can be the shoulder you can cry on when no one else is there.
I hope that I can write songs in a way that people can attach to emotionally in their good times and their bad times.
I want my music to be there for people.
