Together we are The International Treasures.
Our name, it's a great story how we got named.
Our friend Matthew French reposted our first single on social media saying check out this song by my good friends Doyle Turner and Ted Hajnasiewicz who are international treasures.
We said, "Matt, could we use that name?"
He said "Yes."
That's very kind of him.
Right?
Yeah, so that's how we got our name.
(Ted) We were in a Facebook songwriting group called the Singer Songwriter Songwriting Challenge.
We both joined pretty close to the same time, about maybe a year apart.
This was in 2020 when we started enjoying each other's songs.
In the summer when we did our summer concerts once a week, I had this idea I want to cowrite with people and Doyle was my first pick.
(Doyle) When we did our cowrite we found that there was just this ease and this real natural vibe between Ted and I when we wrote, so we started writing more and more together.
Then Ted had this idea that we should get together and start a duo.
Not only did we really love writing together, we became fast friends.
We've only known each other for 3-1/2 years, close to 4 years.
And we became fast friends.
Our wives have become dear friends.
We're just like this unit, like a family-- well it is a family.
Yeah, definitely, we fell into it very quickly, and the writing continues that way today.
Ted & I get together, and it's the easiest cowrite.
We just have this way to vibe together that works really well for writing.
We both enjoy it so we just keep writing new stuff.

I started thinking about what would John Prine write, and he writes about everyday things so I wrote about how my wife, one of her favorite foods is, her favorite dish is soy sauce and white rice and butter.
That's how the song starts.
So I hope you enjoy "Gimme Some More."
