New Jersey's Domestic Worker Bill of Rights went into effect this week, giving landmark protections to some of the state's most vulnerable workers. The regulations guarantee that people like housekeepers, in-home child care workers and caregivers for the elderly have the right to take a break, the right to privacy and safety, and protection from discrimination and harassment.
